Lil Wayne issued an apology for his Emmett Till lyric on Future’s ‘Karate Chop’. It appears that PepsiCo have decided to end their ties with the rapper, who was promoting their Mountain Dew soda. In a statement, PepsiCo said Lil Wayne’s “offensive reference to a revered civil rights icon does not reflect the values of our brand”. Sarah Cunningham, a publicist for Lil Wayne. said that the split was due to “creative differences”.
