DJ Flee is The New Face of the South

28-year-old DJ Flee, also known as Bodega Flee, is one of the hottest new tastemakers in Hip Hop. The Uptown New York Dominican is a lustrious member of the legendary Hip Hop faction, The Heavy Hitters (DJ Enuff, Tony Tone). The former Basketball player made a name for himself in the city with his signature Uptown sound and irreparable tricks on the turntables.

South Africa’s AKA Earns BET Awards “Best International Act” Nomination

South African hip hop artist AKA is continuing to push musical boundaries and today was announced by BET as this years’ nominee for “Best International Act” for the BET Awards.

AKA is the only South African nominee representing the category of hip hop/rap alongside Burna Boy and Mr Eazi.

He’s been focused on becoming an internationally known artist, working with producers and talent all over the world – and it’s apparent with his BET Awards nomination that people are paying attention.
